Sir Rajendra Nath Mookerjee, KCIE KCVO

Achievements
Founded Martin & Co, Founded Indian Statistical Institute (ISI). Construction of Palta water works, the Victoria Memorial and Howrah Bridge(Old) at Kolkata, statue in Victoria Memorial premises.

Sir Birendranath Mookerjee

1899 – 1982
Engineer & Industrialist

Achievements
Established steel-making facilities at IISCO, Burnpur and developed other industrial establishments. Chairman of the Steel Corporation of Bengal. He was knighted in 1942.

Achievements
Jawaharlal Nehru Fellowship in 1971, the Padma Shri by the Govt of India (1972), Sangeet Natak Akademi Award(1968) & the Ratna Sadsya, the highest honour in the performing arts by Govt. of India.

Arunendu Das

Mohiner Ghoraguli is considered to be the first Bengali Band, Arunendu was the first person to compose Bengali lyrics for songs written specifically to be accompanied by guitar

Narayan Sanyal

Achievements
Received several awards for literature including Rabindra Puraskar, Bankim Puraskar , Narasingha Dutta Award. Many of his books were filmed. He won the Best Film Story Writer Award .
